Maxillary first molar endodontic management with seven root canals diagnosed using CBCT: A case study
نویسندگان
چکیده
The main objective of this case study is to present an unusual maxillary first molar root canal configuration with seven canals; three mesiobuccal, two distobuccal and palatal canals diagnosed during treatment procedure confirmed by Cone Beam Computed Tomography. A 26-year-old man with the chief complaint spontaneous pain in his left posterior maxilla was referred general dentist. From the clinical radiographic results, a diagnosis apical periodontitis made patient was recommended for endodontic care. CBCT axial images showed that and distobuccal roots have type IV II pattern Vertucci, respectively, while mesiobuccal root XV configuration Sert Bayirli. Canals been successfully treated with rotary files filled using single-cone technique. In endodontically difficult situations, use CBCT imaging will promote deeper understanding intricate anatomy, which essentially helps the clinician more effectively explore system clean, shape, obturate it. Keywords: Cone Tomography, Maxillary molar, Root anatomy, Seven canals.

متن کاملEndodontic Retreatment of a Maxillary First Molar with Unusual Palatal Root Canal Morphology: A Case Report
Introdouction: Variations in root canal morphology pose a challenge for successful endodontic treatment. The root canal anatomy of the maxillary first molar has been often described as three roots with four canals (two mesiobuccal, one distobuccal, and one palatal). The occurrence of two palatal canals in one palatal root is quite rare. This report represents the case of a maxillary first molar...

Nonsurgical endodontic therapy of a right maxillary first molar with three roots and seven root canals. This unusual morphology was diagnosed using a dental operating microscope (DOM) and confirmed with the help of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images. CBCT axial images showed that both the palatal and distobuccal root have a Vertucci type II canal pattern, whereas the mesiobuccal root s...

INTRODUCTION The purpose of this article was to emphasize the importance of having a thorough knowledge about the root canal anatomy. METHODS This case report presents the endodontic management of a maxillary first molar with three roots and seven canals. The clinical detection of the seven canals was made using a surgical operating microscope and confirmed using cone-beam computed tomography...
